Beware the fly-by-night company claiming to be a removalist service who go by the name of AAA Removals and operate out of Mitchelton and claim to serve the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast area. I have been ripped off by Australian companies before, it seems to be a very common occurrence in this country. Indeed anyone can register a business name, apply for and ABN and call themselves a professional business. AAA Removals was far from professional, far from competent; in fact they were a complete and utter sham of a business.
From the moment that the two clowns claiming to be furniture movers showed up with a rented Budget truck far too small for our household of belongings I knew these guys weren’t on the up and up. Mind you these idiots were meant to start moving our belonginsg at 9:00 am and didn’t show up until well after mid day. After several half-assed attempt at making excuses for their late arrival morons one and two proceeded to drop and damage almost every single item of furniture in our possession. Seriously every single piece of furniture was damaged to some degree by these incompetent buffoons.
After an exasperating and incomprehensible day of damaging furniture removal, which went well into the night thanks to the sham movers inability to form coherent thoughts, my wife telephoned the owner of the company to complain. The predictable response was of course that any damage should be covered by our insurance! No apologies, no attempt to rectify the situation and no trace of professional conduct was to be found.
AAA Removals claims that the will beat any written rate quote by 5% for Brisbane or Southeast Queensland removals! If you are reading this and considering hiring a removalist do yourself a huge favour and choose anyone other than AAA Removals. These guys have no consideration whatsoever for you or your belongings. Pay the extra few dollars and hire a professional removalist and steer clear of scam companies like this.

Just as an update, I again contacted AAA removals by phone with my complaints and was given the run around. The owner took no responsibility for the actions of his workers and offered no compensation for the damage to our belongings.
